Sally Walk

Sally Walk

Sally Walk is an Artist-in-Residence of Taoxicuan International Studio in Jingdezhen, originally from Australia, teaches at Presbyterian Ladies' College and has had a career in ceramics for over 30 years. During that time, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Design and dual Master's degrees in Visual Arts Sculpture and Visual Arts Education. Growing up on the beach, she was fascinated by the shapes of sea creatures and their microscopic details. This subtle influence is evident in her later ceramic work. Over the course of three decades, Sally was awarded the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" prize at the 2015 Florence Biennale. She has had dozens of solo exhibitions and participated in more than 40 group exhibitions in France, Japan, China, USA, India, New Zealand, Korea, Italy and Australia. She is also a member of the UNESCO International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and is currently represented by James Makin Gallery in Australia.
