Vivek Das is an independent practicing artist, born in India in 1989, who received his Masters of Fine Arts from Benares Hindu University in 2016. He is known for using traditional papier mâché to create sculptures, a material that is not only easily accessible, but also environmentally friendly to create without the need for kilns, foundries, or harmful chemicals. Vivek's exploration of this medium is full of innovative and radical potential. Vivek's artwork is filled with modern interpretations of traditional materials and a commitment to environmentally friendly concepts, demonstrating his boundless passion for art and a spirit of continuous exploration.
Vivek has received numerous recognitions in the art world, winning awards at the annual State Exhibitions in Delhi and Ranchi.
