Yang Renqian

Yang Renqian, born in 1987 in Hunan, China, is a ceramic artist active in the international art world. She received her MFA in ceramics from the School of Art and Design at Syracuse University in 2014, and was a visiting assistant professor at the School of Art and Art History at St. Lawrence University, where she taught ceramics and drawing courses. She currently lives and works in Canton, NY, where she explores the dialogue between human emotion and natural materials through ceramic art, creating works of deep substance and unique style. Her endless passion and continuous exploration of ceramic art has made her a shining star in the ceramic art world. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including solo shows at Fou Gallery and Clayscapes Pottery Gallery in New York and the National Ceramic Sculpture Exhibition "Urban Extension" in California. Her work has been widely recognized in the art world, and she has received a number of awards, including the Gold Medal Artist Award, the Global Award for Artistic Excellence, and several Artist-in-Residence Fellowships. Her work and practice have been recognized by Artaxis, the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Art, and the American Ceramic Arts Education Association.
